Coconut Oil

coconut oil

Your body sends medium-chain fatty acids directly to your liver to use as energy. This makes coconut oil a powerful source of instant energy to your body, a function usually served in the diet by simple carbohydrates. Additionally, research has demonstrated that, due to its metabolic effect, coconut oil also increases the activity of your thyroid.

Additionally, coconut oil can be used on your skin to make it softer and smoother! So go pick up this versatile oil today!

Salmon

Salmon contains omega-3 fatty acids, which the body cannot produce by itself. These fatty acids reduce inflammation, improve circulation, increase the ratio of good to bad cholesterol, and may slash cancer risk. Salmon is a rich source of selenium, which helps prevent cell damage, and several B vitamins.

Brussel Sprouts

They have more glucosinolates (compounds that combat cancer and detoxify our bodies) than any other vegetable. For a side dish that will make you wonder why you've been avoiding them, slice each one into quarters, then sauté in olive oil with chopped sweet Vidalia onions.
Try this Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Pecorino Cheese and Almonds.

Quinoa

This teeny-tiny, grain-like seed packs some serious nutritional prowess. With a mild, nutty flavor and a texture similar to rice or couscous, quinoa is one of the only grains or seeds that provides all nine essential amino acids our bodies can’t produce themselves . And it’s filled with protein— eight grams per one-cup serving, to be exact!

Eggs

Each egg has 6 grams of protein but just 72 calories. No wonder researchers at Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, found that eating eggs for breakfast (as part of a low-cal diet) helps you slim down.
Try this classic Egg Sandwich to fulfill all your breakfast needs.

What came first: the chicken or the egg? Well it doesn’t matter because the important thing is chickens lay eggs and this delicate food is packed full of protein you need before and after working out! They are also low in carbs and calories and are perfect if you’re trying to shed some extra pounds. With 6 grams of protein in each egg, feel free to eat as many of these as you want. They are also delicious in a number of ways: fried, scrambled, over easy, and my personal favorite: hard boiled. Stock up on this superfood today and watch your body transform right before your eyes.
