I Hope everyone Morning has started off Great! This has been an Awesome week and I can not believe It’s Friday already YAY! Time to spend some time with Family and Friends, getting out and enjoying the weekend!!

Art opening reception: Mondo Celebrates 75 Years of Batman

Mondo welcomes The Dark Knight to its gallery to celebrate one of the greatest characters ever created for his 75th anniversary in what promises to be an appropriately epic gallery event. Dozens of artists will lend their vision to the rich history of the caped crusader and his rogues gallery of villains in a variety of their incarnations, including the comics, the 1960s TV series, animated series and of course the Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan films.

The “Batman 75th Anniversary” gallery show will run from the night of its opening reception on October 24 until November 15.Batman

The Candy Jar’s One Year Anniversary Celebration!!

The Candy Jar is turning one year old and they want you to help them celebrate. Stop by shop any time on October 1 for some birthday cake, refreshments, party favors and a special visit from “The Candy Fairy” from 4-6 pm. It’s also a great excuse to get some sweet treats, because a portion of the proceeds from sales that day will go to the Austin Children’s Shelter.

Chef Chris TenEyck, along with pastry chef Dee-Dee Sanchez, of Jack Allen’s Kitchen and local brewery Hops & Grain are teaming up for a five-course paired beer dinner. Guests will be guided through a culinary journey and will be able to sample six different Hops & Grain beers — one with each course, plus a welcome beer upon arrival. A representative from the brewery as well as JAK’s bar manager, David Toby, will be on hand, guiding guests through the pairings.
